Iconography
Project start: Jan 2020
Timeline: 4 months
Services: UI, Illustration and Graphic Design
About the project.
The project commenced as an initiative to enhance the aesthetics of the Ingresso.com office. The idea was to establish a movie-inspired theme for the office and personalize each meeting room. However, the project evolved into a comprehensive iconography system that would also be implemented across our interfaces. We redesigned all of our icons, illustrated icons and created new illustations suitable for diverse situations.
Challenge.
We collaborated with the Marketing team and conducted numerous meetings to comprehend how we could evolve Ingresso.com's identity through our iconography system without losing its already well-established recognition in Brazil.

Design Process.
We began by creating simple icons, drawing inspiration from the Google Material Design Icon Grid. This grid establishes consistent yet flexible rules for constructing new icons. The use of squares, circles, rectangles, and diagonals as simple and universal elements aids in unifying the placement and size of icons.

Some of the simple icons designed
From simple icons we started to design the more complex ones: the illustated icons. Those tipes of icons are used in more specific situations in the interface, usually in lightboxes and sucess screens. For the office, those icons would be the base to create the identity for the meeting rooms.

Office Application.
The initial application we had the opportunity to undertake was within our office. Our icons and identity found usage in adorning rooms and office signs. The overall environments were embellished in accordance with films that had been previously selected through employee voting. Each environment boasts its own icon, pattern, and phrase, alluding to the selected film.
